EduCode Regulatory Essentials
The EduCode Regulatory Essentials Curriculum provides practical information concerning HIPAA privacy and confidentiality issues that may be provided as yearly education to hospital staff. Topics covered in the Privacy and Confidentiality course include an overview of HIPAA, patient rights, the HIPAA privacy notice, employee responsibilities, authorizations for release of information, and business associate agreements.

Joint Commission Resources (JCR), the non-profit affiliate and official publisher and educator of The Joint Commission (TJC), is offering its authoritative web-based courses in partnership with MC Strategies. These courses, developed by JCR experts, promote understanding and improved application of quality and safety processes that are based upon TJC standards.
HFMA Mastering Healthcare Compliance
To respond to the growth in compliance training needs throughout the healthcare community, HFMA revised its compliance training curriculum. The curriculum continues to be an educational tool for healthcare finance staff and others on current rules and practical guidance to ensure a compliant healthcare entity. HFMA’s “Compliance Suite” is divided into helpful categories, with e-lessons ranging from general material for all staff to provider-specific material.
HFMA Mastering HIPAA
This curriculum presents practical information about the HIPAA Privacy Rule, including uses and disclosures of protected health information, the “minimum necessary” standard, and authorizations. The course also explains requirements relating to the HIPAA Administrative Simplification provisions covering electronic healthcare transactions and code sets, unique health identifiers, and security. A review course in the form of a well-developed and comprehensive case is included that highlights appropriate actions to take when encountering privacy-related issues that occur daily.
HFMA Revenue Cycle Credentialing Program
The Healthcare Financial Management Association’s (HFMA) professional credentialing program recognizes healthcare workers who have reached an acceptable standard of knowledge and proficiency in the revenue cycle field. Employees who meet the requirements of the program earn the designation ‘Credentialed Revenue Cycle Representative’ (CRCR). The CRCR Program is recommended for revenue cycle staff including (but not limited to) Patient Access, Financial Representatives, Managed Care Operations, Health Information Management, Case Management and Compliance.
