Barbara Nelson Cullen, Vice President, Healthcare e-Learning, has been in the business of healthcare publishing for over 20 years. In her 15 combined years with Elsevier, she has managed both W.B. Saunders and Mosby nursing print and electronic products, with her most recent past role being that of Executive Publisher. In early 2007, Barbara moved to run the Clinical e-Learning publishing program for Elsevier | MC Strategies, and in early 2008 her responsibilities were expanded to include the Revenue Cycle, Coding, and Compliance e-Learning product division. Barbara has cultivated strong relationships with professional associations, such as the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, the Emergency Nurses Association, as well as many key strong content partnerships, such as the Joint Commission Resources, to continue to add to Elsevier | MC Strategies content offerings.
Cindy Tryniszewski, RN, MSN

Cindy Tryniszewski has a Master of Science in Nursing, Adult Medical-Surgical Clinical Nurse Specialist, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She has 34 years of nursing experience, with 17 years spent on the front lines as a medical-surgical and critical-care staff nurse, nurse manager, clinical specialist, and supervisor. Cindy, who has worked in the publishing industry for over 17 years as an author and in various roles as a nursing editor, has a particular expertise in developing print, video/DVD, and online products suited to the needs of practicing nurses.
Cindy has won several awards, including the American Journal of Nursing Book of the Year Award in the category of Electronic Media for Mosby’s Medical-Surgical Nursing Procedures DVD Series (2007) and she serves as a Category Chair and Judge for the International Health & Medical Media Awards—The Freddie Awards. In her current role, Cindy works with authors, professional nursing and other healthcare professional associations, and subject matter experts, in coordination with her on-staff Master’s-prepared nurses, to develop online nursing and health professions courseware. Cindy has been instrumental is working with the Emergency Nurses Association to launch the highly-successful Emergency Nursing Orientation course, the Emergency Nursing Triage course, and the Emergency Nursing Certification Review course.
Eileen Robinson, RN, MSN

Eileen Robinson, RN, MSN, Director Nursing Continuing Education has a Masters of Science in Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Burns, Emergency & Trauma Nursing. She has 15 years continuing nursing education experience in leadership positions including Executive Director for Continuing Nursing Education overseeing a publisher’s three (3) national nursing conferences and three (3) leading nursing journal CE programs. Eileen has 20 years practice experience in medical-surgical, critical-care, perioperative, & emergency nursing including Clinical Nurse Specialist for 4 critical care units directing orientation, staff development, and continuing education. She directed the development of the blended learning course, Mosby’s Preceptor Course, a collaborative venture with the National Nursing Staff Development Organization (NNSDO); and directed the development of the uniquely designed and international media award winning Mosby’s Essential Nursing CE course which is built on a foundation of regulatory and professional practice standards. Eileen has authored more than 20 feature articles and columns – published in leading nursing peer-reviewed journals and nursing websites. Eileen is Vice Chair of the ANCC Commission on Accreditation, and Chair of the ANCC Accreditation Review Committee.
Colleen Seeber-Combs, RN, MSN

Colleen Seeber-Combs, RN, MSN, joined Elsevier in 2004 as a Clinical Editor in the Nursing Division. In addition to her undergraduate degrees, Colleen has a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. Along with 12 years of publishing experience, Colleen’s background includes over 10 years experience in clinical nursing, including as a cardiac transplant specialist and as a critical-care and medical-surgical staff nurse. Since joining Elsevier | MC Strategies, Colleen has been working with professional nursing organizations and subject matter experts to craft clinically accurate, up-to-date content for our online courses.
Donna Massey, RN, MSN

Donna joined Elsevier | MC Strategies in January 2010. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Loyola University of Chicago. Donna’s nursing background includes over 27 years experience with positions held as a neurosurgical and surgical intensive care staff nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago; a trauma clinical nurse specialist at Good Samaritan Hospital in Illinois; and a trauma coordinator at Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois. Most recently, Donna worked as a Senior Executive for the Emergency Nurses Association, and worked closely with Elsevier | MC Strategies to develop ENA’s Emergency Nursing Orientation, ENA’s Emergency Nursing Triage, and ENA’s Emergency Nursing Certification Review.

Sherry worked in adult critical care for twenty years in the capacity of staff, nurse manager and clinical nurse specialist; her clinical experience includes Shock & Trauma, Neurosurgical ICU, renal with renal transplant, and cardiothoracic ICU including cardiac transplantation. Sherry then moved to academia and taught for 15 years in various aspects of nursing science to undergraduate and graduate nursing students. Sherry holds a master's degree in nursing administration. Always looking for a challenge, Sherry returned to college while teaching and attained a Post-Master's Certificate in Primary Care Pediatrics; she then worked per-diem in a clinic for under-insured and uninsured pediatric clients. Although she is new to Elsevier | MC Strategies, Sherry has published articles and book chapters while a clinically practicing nurse.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. Mary Ann’s nursing background includes over 20 years experience with positions held as a Staff Nurse on a cardiothoracic step-down unit at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, a Cardiac Clinical Nurse Specialist at Hahnemann University Hospital, and a Lecturer and Clinical Instructor for the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, Holy Family College, and Villanova University. Most recently, she was a Nurse Educator at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Mary Ann also brings with her extensive experience in Disease Management and NCLEX testing.

Stephanie has served as an educator, case manager, and preceptor for nurses and other healthcare workers. Mary is the Director of Nursing Practice, Research and Innovation at Genesis Medical Center (formerly Mercy Hospital) in Davenport, IA, and an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Iowa and University of Illinois. She has a clinical background in critical care and served as the Informatics Nurse Specialist for 12 years assisting with the implementation of the electronic health record. She has presented nationally on the implementation of Nursing Standardized Languages and clinical information systems. She currently serves as Chairperson of the Nursing Information Data Set Evaluation Center (NIDSEC) Panel of the American Nurses Association. Mary was selected as one of the 100 Great Iowa Nurses and won the Edith Ruppert award for significant contributions to the improvement of nursing.

Dolores currently wears two hats as an Assistant Professor at Florida State University and as the NAPNAP Director of Practice, Education and Research. At NAPNAP, she provides strategic thinking, planning and operation of a comprehensive program that advocates for children and pediatric healthcare providers. Prior to her current roles, she was the Director of Pediatric Education at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. She has worked as a pediatric nurse and a public health nurse, and has held numerous positions in hospital clinical education departments. Shirley was an oncology clinical nurse specialist at Via Christi Regional Medical Center (VCRMC) in Wichita, Kansas, for more than 22 years and has been in nursing for 45 years. She is a member of the American Nurses Association (ANA), the Infusion Nurses Society, the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), and Sigma Theta Tau. Her publications include Oncology Nursing Clinical Reference (Mosby, 2004) and Mosby's Pocket Guide to Infusion Therapy, 5e (Mosby, 2005). She is the editor of Oncology Nursing, 4e (Mosby, 2001). Shirley also provides nurse education programs in chemotherapy administration, peripheral blood stem cell transplantation, and more.

Chris is a nationally recognized pain management author, educator, and clinical consultant from El Dorado Hills, California. She is a cofounder and past president of the American Society for Pain Management Nursing and serves on the Board of Directors of the American Chronic Pain Association. Chris is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing and is certified in pain management nursing. She is the recipient of the American Pain Society 2006 Elizabeth Narcesssian Award for Outstanding Educational Achievements, the American Society for Pain Management Nursing 2006 Nurse Exemplar Award, and the American Academy of Pain Management 2005 Janet Travell Clinical Pain Management Award. Major publications include Pain: Clinical Manual, 2e (Mosby, 1999) and two pain management CDs with co-author Margo McCaffery.

Lynelle has 25 years' experience in critical care as a staff nurse, clinical coordinator, trauma nurse coordinator, and clinical nurse specialist. She is the author of Management of the Mechanically Ventilated Patient, 2e (Saunders/Elsevier, 2007). Active in AACN since 1981, Lynelle is currently the Secretary for the Greater Kansas City Chapter of AACN. She has also been a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine since 1999.

Dr. Puetz is a diploma graduate who obtained a BSN and graduate degrees in adult education. Until May 2006, she owned an association management company that provides services to nine national nursing specialty organizations, two certification Boards, and a foundation. Since the sale of the company, Dr. Puetz has been Nurse Consultant for Dancy, Puetz & Associates, Inc. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal for Nurses in Staff Development. She has founded 3 journals and edited 5. Dr. Puetz has written or co-authored 6 books; one, Networking for Nurses, received an AJN Book of the Year award. In 2001, she established Pohl Publishing, Inc., which specializes in books written in conversational format for nurses. Dr. Puetz is also the founder of the National Nursing Staff Development Organization. The organization presents an award in her name annually.

Diane is a Professor and Health Care Informatics Option Coordinator at the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Care Sciences Center. Since 1982, she has taught nursing informatics. Her work is currently funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Division of Nursing, Advanced Education Nursing Traineeship grant. This grant supports the school's online Master's Degree program and funds the I-Collaboratory, an online community to support informatics learners.

She is past editor of AACN Clinical Issues: Advanced Practice in Acute and Critical Care and serves on the editorial boards of several critical care journals. She has published more than 45 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Sole has received numerous awards for clinical practice, teaching, and research. In 1997, she was inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.

Mary is Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer for the University of North Carolina (UNC) Hospitals in charge of all inpatient nursing care units, the emergency department, and Carolina Air Care. She is also a Clinical Professor in UNC's School of Nursing and Associate Dean for UNC Healthcare. Mary has been a consultant in case management and nursing staffing, and is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE), American Nurses Association (ANA), and Sigma Theta Tau, among others. She is the recipient of many awards and honors including the Nursing Spectrum Nursing Excellence Award (2006), the North Carolina Great 100 Nurses Award (2005) and Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academies of Practice in Nursing (1998).
