More than ever before, nurses seek certification to improve their clinical competence and advance their careers. Studies suggest that specialty-certified nurses have higher rates of patient satisfaction, as well as lower rates of
work-related errors in patient care. In addition, healthcare organizations that employ certified nurses are often recognized as providing safe, competent patient care and are better able to meet the professional development requirements necessary to be awarded Magnet status by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
While certification is certainly desirable, the Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN®) exam is challenging, and nurses must prepare well ahead of time to ensure success. To help nurses prepare for initial certification - and to maintain that certification - they need a solid, reliable resource.
